I'm currently a lecturer in Internet Communications, with a focus on participatory culture and social media. I gained my PhD in English, Communication & Cultural Studies in 2006 for a thesis entitled 'Artificialities: From Artifificial Intelligence to Artificial Culture - Bodies, Subjects and Technology in Speculative Texts."

The mandatory procrastination which accompanies doctoral study fostered an ongoing interest in digital photographs and the social world which lies in the void-which-binds-Flickr.
