Being employed on an 'all the hours God sends' basis is all fine and well, if you happen to be employed as the demi-god responsible for making sure people lose their socks in the washing machine on a regular basis. If you're like me though, you're not such much a deity as a dogsbody, and you're not so much demi-god as demi-human. Probably your employers over-use you, or abuse you. You have less time, all the time, to spend doing the things you enjoy, and you long for the time when your life will be your own again.

You know, I can retire in just 30 short years.

Why is it so hard to buy good Cheddar in Poland?
Maybe the cows have trouble pronouncing it?

Gravy... you can't get that either.

Derby Sage appeared recently though, so things are looking up.

I have a blog thingy (see below) and you can get a quick view of photo's that Flickr has (by some random means) decided are my most interesting ones here: Yes, here.

    Agnieszka says:

"Matt is the most Polish of Englishmen, or maybe the most English of Poles. His pictures of Poland make me look again at things I've been taking for granted, and his photos of England make me want to go there and see all that beauty in person.

Matt's distinctive feature is his fantastic sense of humour. Honestly. Many people have a great sense of humour but Matt's is really something else. Just have a look at his profile, or at the one he wrote for me and disguised it as a testimonial. You'll know what I mean. His mind is as sharp as a razor, even if he talks about retirement 32 years too early."
