Sylvia Green Chatman has written inspirational verse for family, friends, and programs for almost 20 years. She began penning poetry in her late teens when she accepted God into her life and stopped composing secular rap lyrics. She is the author of three other poetry collections, Gift of Life: Inspirational Poems, Possess a Vision: Motivational Poems, and Thankful We Met: Poems of Love. Her poetic works have also appeared in newsletters, journals, newpapers, magazines, and several anthologies: Gumbo for the Soul--Recipe for Literacy, Gumbo for the Soul--Women of Honor Special Pink Edition, and Gumbo for the Soul--Men of Honor. By sharing her gift of words, Sylvia aims to inspire the world with creative excellence.
