I'm a freelance photographer in Australia. I cover sports and events for Asterisk Images, Southcreek Global Media and Photoworx. I have been commissioned by Football Australia and Football Victoria to cover selected matches and events.
My photos have been published in newspapers and web sites including the Wall Street Journal and Sports Illustrated, and my images are available through image agencies Southcreek, Corbis, Zuma Press and AAP.
Ryu and I make BigLens FastShutter, a podcast about sports photography.
Background I've been taking photos on film since 1975 and digital in 2002. I've owned and used a range of Canon DSLRs: D60, 10D, 20D, 5D, 1D MK III and currently use Nikon D3 and D3S. In my kit are 24mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm, 200mm and 400mm lenses, 1.7ex, SB800, SB900, SU800, Gitzo tripod & monopod, BH-55 heads, Pocketwizard triggers and ThinkTank bags. My previous equipment include Fujica ST605, Olympus OM1 & OM2, Rolleicord, Pentax 6x7 and Canon EOS 630.
