I am definitely an amateur photographer and love to take pictures. I am still learning a lot of things about photography, especially digital. I would love to have a higher quality camera with greater flexibility with manual settings and such. For the most part, I use the shooting modes already set up on the camera, but I am looking into using the manual options. Sometimes I make adjustments within shooting modes just to play around a bit.

I admire a mix of "Kodak Moments" and well planned shots and some of the editing that is sometimes done. Maybe it is just the amateur in me, but I like capturing a beautiful shot without too much planning, while capturing the moment as it happens, and without editing. Don't get me wrong, even though I don't know much about setting up pictures and editing and such I occassionally use it at a very basic level.

Family, friends, and my pets are first and foremost. I love the outdoors and the simple things in life. A snuggle, a rainstorm/ thunderstorm, stargazing, and watching the clouds go by are but a few simple pleasures. Playing in the leaves, the snow, puddles, the sand, and of course on playgrounds is also very acceptable to me.

For the most part, to me photography is a way to get a record of some of my fondest memories so that I can give others a glimpse of my world. My fiancee says that one of the songs that makes him smile and think of me, is "Photograph" by Nickleback because it talks about days past and sharing memories.
