I like taking photos. I am not a photographer, that's okay, I readily admit that. My site does not have the best of the best of the photos I've taken... rather, it has some of my favorite photos, the ones that make me smile.

I love traveling, and when I can afford trips, I want to make sure I bring back plenty of memories of them by taking an obnoxious amount of pictures. (I about had a coronary in Colombia, when my camera battery charger was in my delayed luggage!)

I also love my dog and my city, and I like taking photos of them, too. I have made a promise to myself to begin looking at everyday things with the lens of a camera in mind. It's the ordinary, daily things around us that shape our lives and make them special, not the trips that (for me) come along infrequently. I want to better appreciate the beauty in my own surroundings.
