To carve a piece of jewelry from the thoughts and pictures of one's mind is to create living art ~ art that is not only bought, but worn, passed on and even cherished.

When I begin a new piece, I start with an item that gives me the most ideas that complement each other. That item may be an old vintage object found in a thrift store or a glass bead in a color that hypnotizes me. The item can also be a pattern I'd like to replicate in wire. I'll gather whatever I have and use the techniques I've mastered to create and finish what I have in mind. When I'm done, I'm out of my artistic trance and very pleased at what I've made.

I always like to make something that has a uplifting or soothing effect when seen and having a B.A in English, I appreciate the meaning of certain words, objects, colors, numbers, stones and symbols and use them when I can so a piece of jewelry can become more important to its wearer.
