Sudanese Women Empowerment for Peace (SuWEP) is an initiative started in 1997 for the empowerment of women Sudan to play an active role in processes of peace-building, democratization and post-conflict construction and reconstruction. It includes women from Northern and Southern Sudan who came together with the shared vision of achieving sustainable peace and development in Sudan, through the exercise of principles of justice and equality.
