Poladroids, enable me to wax nostalgic for the Polaroid pictures the software is designed to mimic. As I create them I recollect the legion of pics my dad snapped of my brother and me and our cats when we were kids; that wonderful sound and then the magic of seeing the pic develop before your eyes.

Poladroids, as opposed to Polaroids, are digital. Thus, the name: Poladroid. The free downloadable software I use to transform digital photos, snapped w/ a Canon PowerShot a520 enables me to recreate the sound and development process of a Polaroid on my iBook G4, once the digital picture have been taken and tweaked on iPhoto. While the Poladroids are all done, post-production, the element of control is neverthless compromised. No telling how the colors will come out. And they're different each and every time.

As I am in the storytelling industry (theater, motion pictures and sometimes television) that element is also an aspect. I would like to hear from other who are interested in the visual narrative process.
