I am an artist, mainly a painter.
Inspiration comes in the form of tiny fragments of objects as much as sublime landscapes. Each object or shape reflects its origin, each mark attempts to capture the spirituality and sense of this origin or place.
My connection with Irish Traditional Music, the culture and geography of my home all come through my art in various ways. My most recent work has been of a small scale on paper, often using inks. I have enjoyed the lucidity and intensity of this media.
COMMISSIONS: I do all kinds of commissions including abstracts and landscapes but the majority of my commissions are contemporary portraits. Commissions are usually done on canvas or canvas board and are of varying sizes from 20cm x 20cm to 1m x 1m.
