Nikonista since 1991.
Here to learn, share, and have fun.

From walking into photography at school, developing black and white in a nuclear fallout shelter and watering in a bucket, I've upgraded a little but shoot both analogue and digital. Favourite subjects include wonderful people, cats, 1970's Kraftwerk-style control panels, English Electric engineering classics, and architecture.

My images are either copyrighted or Creative Commons. If you break the rules, I will take legal action against you. Please be honest and ask if you wish to use any of my photos.
If you intend to use any photographs for commercial purposes, expect to pay commercial rates, which will be donated to Medecins sans Frontiers.

There's a blog, too. (mostly neglected)

My groups:

'New Khmer Architecture'
showcasing modernist architecture in Cambodia of the 1950's and 60's (or what is left of it)

'The Patrick Hamilton Appreciation Society'
A group to promote the work of this genial underrated English writer of the 1920's to 1950's whose subjects are the lonely people at the fringe of society - bit like 'Eleanor Rigby' in a book.

'Here began all my dreams - My life as sung by the Smiths'
A group for all those saddos keen to tell how the Smiths, Morrissey, their songs, lyrics and anything else that may have a special significance for them.

'Guess We're Middle Class'
For those who are trying to solve the mystery what the middle classes (world-wide, not just England) are all about

And a few really small ones:

'The Midnight Bell' One about suitably decadent bygone-era drinking establishments and cafes

'My Name on a Plate: Products endorsed by Celebrities' for the sheer hilariousness of this vile display of vanity and consumerism

'Girls Who Wear Glasses' 'Because I love Dorothy Parker

'We HATE Christmas' (Currently on summer break)

'Classic Hotels and Motels'
Looking for inspiration for the next holiday MUST be good

It'd be great to see you there, sometime, somewhere!

My toys: are generally a Fujifilm S5 Pro, a Nikon D80 and a Hasselblad 500c/m with a few primes and zoom lenses. I can't resist a nice old camera, especially when cheap and/or in the bottom of a box in a cardboard sale, and I got some nice friends that sometimes lend me a camera, so I shoot with a few more - camera info usually with the picture.
