  Her love of animals shines through, especially of cats ,birds and horses ( and I am sure the whole critter kingdom) shows an enlightened, advanced soul...rightfully blessed with an artistic, bright spirit!   " I want to draw your attention to Maria who is a riot,………. She is a friend, and a supporter of me and many people she has befriended on flickr ….Most importantly she is true ……No bullshit in her………and she is talented………. Her talent is hidden sometimes……… as she mixes every day life shots with a shot like
  “Peek a boo” which is a shot that is memorable, and incredible ……….. and I couldn’t do better if I tried………she is not a show off ……….but when she wants she will strut with her photography……She photographs her Jewellery with precision and excellence and with perfect placement………… as she does this very , very, well……. which means she understands light and proper set up ………. I know this and can say this because unbeknownst to her I have been in the Jewellery business for 30 years as I am a designer and President of a Jewllery design house ……and I see jewellery shots by so many " so called pros" which pale in comparison to her stuff (in many cases)……… and when I view her setups I see how well she understands and creates the best look for her necklaces , bracelets etc etc. ………But her real passion is for her animal friends as nothing can touch the feeling and love she feels for “Peke” and the other special friends that she holds so dear to her heart……She has a caring for animals beyond most and her compassion is commendable…A giving loyal soul to her many friends ….she is always there with a kind comment and she is sincere………..and at the same time ……..she finds me a riot as I’m crazy and totally insane ………. as I have NO rules when it comes to expression good or bad………. I am very right wing as is her husband ………( you’ll have to ask her about that as ….I’m not getting shot….literally!!!!!!!!! )
  .A valuable friend who I look forward to hearing from …a good soul and a person and friend I can count on ……….and it doesn’t get better than that on flickr as 80% are full of shit…..That’s why she is one of the 100 “Friends “ of mine who are special to me ..…….

  "I'm not quite sure how mine and Maria's paths crossed here on flickr, but it's been over a year now and she has become one of my favorites. Her imagery has grown and matured since I've been a fan, and I can only guess at where it will take her in the future. Her comments are always thoughtful, and show a sense of comprehension of the subject matter. This is a welcomed trait here on flickr, and is somewhat few and far between.
  
  Her photographs are not only technically superb, but also invoke an emotion for the viewer. This combination can be rare in this digital age when the photography genre has become somewhat diluted.

Maria is artistic, extremely talented, and produces some beautiful things - photos, jewelry, signage. She loves animals and gives a lot of her time to helping less fortunate animals. Her own little family of five cats, three birds, and a horse are all well-loved; among them are a couple of "special needs" kitties who are very fortunate to have her as their person - and she says she's fortunate to have them.   "Maria has been our Flickr contact since the early days of our account. In that time she has genuinely become a friend. Over the months we have discussed a variety of things, many not directly related to Flickr. That is surely a sign of more than casual contacthood (neologism alert!). What brought us to be contacts in the first place was a mutual love of cats. Ron & I do love cats, but with five cats (and birds besides), Maria is dedicated! One of her cats, while truly beautiful is quite a challenge. Nevertheless, Maria has persevered with love and devotion, a love that manifests itself in an obvious love of nature and its creatures in general. She captures the lives of her non-human family superbly and the various ups and downs of her cats, in particular, are related with immediacy. Oh, yes, she also takes magnificent and imaginative photographs, on a variety of subjects, including her often remarkable creations, and the quality of her photographs alone would warrant regular visits to her photostream. There is more to Maria than photos, of course, and I am glad to have come to know Maria the person."
