I'm a photo hobbyist, although I take photography and taking good photos seriously. My older photos are taken with a Canon Powershot A75, but as of May 12, 2007, I am using my new camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, which is a digital SLR. I'm very excited about the upgrade and hope to do the camera justice.
I like to take photos of things other people might not notice - even though I do have some "typical" photos I like showing how beautiful and unique the world is through everyday things.

""Northern Transplant" just got back from a trip to Paris with her husband. She takes photographs for fun, but she goes to the trouble of using Photoshop to adjust light levels and crop borders, so I'd say she's a cut above the strictly amateur shutterbugs. Anyway, she just uploaded about 120 pictures on Flickr, including shots in and of Notre Dame, the Palais Garnier opera house, the Pere Lachaise cemetery, the Sacre Coeur cathedral, and the Louvre. The are some nice street shots too of various fountains, façades, and art installations.
My friend and her husband are actually in very few of the Paris shots, so really the photos are about Paris, not the two of them.
