A second-generation Florida native... I love this state, heat and all, and love learning all that I can about it. I used to say I'd never live anywhere else, but you never know what the future holds. After spending 24 hours in L.A. recently, I think I could get used to living in southern California :)

I love taking pictures of nearly anything. I mostly focus on nature, though I do enjoy taking pictures of people too, especially candid shots. My favorite thing is looking at everyday items and scenes from new and interesting angles. I'm not afraid to get down in the dirt, lay flat on my back, or crawl around somewhere to get a great shot.

My #1 life goal is to eventually visit all 50 states. So far I've been to 16 states and D.C., so I still have a lot of traveling to do! I have ventured out of the U.S. twice... a trip to Austria (with an airport stop in Germany and a quick drive in and out of Slovakia) and a trip to Jamaica.

I completed Project 365 in 2008... It was hard at times, but it challenged my creativity, and it was worth it in the end. It was so much fun that I'm doing it again in 2011 :)
