Through my photography, I hope to share the subtle scenes, settings, ideas and interesting people that I happen upon. I photograph to learn. Maybe learn is not quite strong enough to convey the right concept. I photograph to LIVE! The discovery process is something that keeps me going not only as a photographer but as a person. I expand my knowledge and understanding of everything that touches my life through this philosophy of discovery. Learning how to see ordinary things in new ways and constant refinement are two major keystones of my life. My goal as a photographer is to give the hint at something greater just underneath and the feeling of being on the verge of a new discovery. These things draw us in and make us want to take the journey through the deepest of forests or over the a scorching desert in search of something wonderful. The things that make us take up steel and concrete until we've built a skyscraper with our lives. These are the things that I will photograph.

I currently photograph primarily using the traditional black & white process. I never use any kind of radical post processing as I find that it usually takes away from the initial character of the image.

I hope that as much enjoyment can be had from viewing my photographs as I had in making them.
