In the summer I go hiking, ride my bicycle, eat fresh vegetables, go dumpster diving at the famer's market and forage some wild things.

I carry a pruner in my bag.

In the winter, I knit, bake and snowshoe a lot.

I have the most amazing job in the world. I work in 7 (!!) elementary schools building compost piles or helping kids to help other kids reduce, reuse, recyle or even better, care about others.

One day I will move in the forest and have a cabin with a view on a lake and trees all around and a handful of hens, and maybe a goat, and I will go wild mushroom hunting every single day.

"Caroline sees the beauty in what is natural and honest, and I admire her for that. We share an appreciation for animals, nature, old things, and neutral tones. I always imagine her tucked away in a little cabin in the wintery woods of Canada, knitting or baking or clomping around in snowshoes."
