I am a very amateur photographer but I sure love taking pictures. I have joined a project to take a photo a day for the entire year of 2009. So far so good as I am approaching 100 days.

I am still trying to figure out what my photographic style is. I am all over the place with my shots. I hope that the 365 project will help me figure out what my style is.

I just upgraded from my Panasonic FZ30 (which I still love) to a Nikon D 90. I miss the zoom lens on the Panasonic - the Nikon 300mm zoom doesn't come close to what the Panasonic could do.

Other than the zoom the Nikon is awesome!! I am now in the process of gearing it up. Just bought a camera bag and now I need to get a new strap, lenses, better tripod, flash........the list is endless really. I think my next purchase will be a macro lens as i really enjoy taking close up shots.

I work in a very non-creative field all day (computer stuff) so photography gives me a chance to use the other side of my brain. Right now it also gives me a way to focus my energy and stress away from my mom and her cancer treatments.

I never seem to have enough time to do everything I want to do. Either I am too ambitious or too disorganized to get it all done.
