I live on Teesside in the North East of England. I am married to Claire, aka Claire.5000 who shares my love of photography, we have 3 dogs who regularly appear in our photographs. I have lived all my life in the area and love the real diversity of landscape that we have up here. This is probably one of the reasons for my love of photography. My father gave me my first camera when I was about ten years old and the interest has been with me ever since. The purchase of my first digital s.l.r. was a real pivotal point in my photography, a feeling that I am sure is shared by many people, the liberation from the costs of film and the greater creative control have fired my enthusiasm. My other interests in climbing and wildlife have provided many opportunities to travel to different places around the country and provide much 'raw material' for my photography.
I don't have a particular preference for one type of photography but follow my eyes to whatever I think is interesting. At my happiest nosing around wherever I am, looking for that something.
I shot all my photographs with Canon cameras and a mixture of Canon, Sigma and Tamron lenses.
