I am a man of the previous millennium so my profile might seem equally ancient.
I am a representative of an academic profession with all possible non-academic hobbies and interests. I like rock music (singing myself), I read sci-fi, watch those movies.
I have been interested in photography for years, started with the famous (others say - notorious) Zenit, then moving to Pentax, now gradually growing disappointed with my generally decent Canon EOS - film cameras still make better pics (and not only very good and expensive ones... )
To see what I have captured on film or CMOS - welcome to the sets! Represented here are (mainly) purely photographic images, very slightly touched up sometimes just to remove some blemishes, or slightly reworked to see what can be achieved by this and that action - in order to receive comments (both positive and negative - as appropriate). No proper digital artwork will be posted here.

One thing you will not find here - pictures of me. I am constantly on the other side of the camera, so it is rather tricky to do them. And I do not like shooting mirrors, sorry.

One more thing. I am blocking people who have no images in their gallery and not a single word written about them in their profiles. You are welcome to hunt for images someplace else.
Lately I have started also blocking people whose "stream" contains absolutely no original work, of whatever quality. Especially after I found my images (along with much better known work) in a "stream" of a paying flickr customer and was unable to do anything about it - neither by contacting the user nor the flickr administration (which appears to be more worried about its income). Sorry for that, but...
