I'm a Wirral girl born and bred, and have returned to the nest after completing my Geography BSc degree at the University of Sheffield. I have begun working as a nanny for a local family in order to get enough cash together to travel in Spring 2010. It'd be great to hear of places to stay/visit in and around: East Australia, NZ, Tasmania, Venezuela, San Francisco and Toronto.

My interest in photography first sparked through watching my dad take photographs on family holidays abroad. He enjoyed explaining the intricacies of the physics of cameras to me when I was younger. I inheritted a few of his film cameras but a few years ago I managed to scrape together enough of my student loan to buy myself a Canon PowerShot A710 IS. Since then, I have invested in a Canon 400D, which is a great piece of kit. I have te 18-55mm kit lens and more recently the 75-300mm lens, which I'm yet to fully get to grips with.

In my final year as a student, I relished the chance to work for the University's student-run newspaper, Forge Press, which took me to all manner of events and introduced me to some great people.

A huge thankyou to fotowosch, who's kindness and creativity continues to astound me and who gave me confidence in the form of a Pro account. His photostream is always a delightful feast for the eyes and I would strongly recommend a visit.

"When I consider the contacts that I have made in flickr, a few stand out as having something a bit special. Liv's work is one of those contacts I'm referring to.

It doesn't seem to matter which page in her photo stream I view, there are always 3-4 shots that I could fave in a heartbeat. Whether it is photos along the streets of her town, sunsets from a sailboat, or shots of primates from the zoo, there is a humanity and sensitivity in the photos you'll see. And on top of that, she is humble, kind, and always takes care in her comments on other's photos. I truly respect that about her.

While I consider her a friendly and sweet person, you'll see some really impressive photos in her stream. Take some time to wade through it and you'll see what I'm referring to. A unique talent that is still growing."
