straight 8 is a filmmaking event that challenges anyone to make a 3 minute film on one cartridge of super 8mm cine film
all edits and effects are made in-camera as you use the one roll we send you
and you send it back to us un-developed. you also upload an original soundtrack before you've seen your film
in fact the first time you see your film - if it's great - is at a screening with hundreds of people or even on tv
people join in from all over the world
