    fanjason {BUSY} says:

"A smile is just a smile – that’s the way I perceive the majority of candid captures and portraits. Most times, I can only see the ‘outer beauty’… and not what’s skin deep.

On the other hand, you have Mark. His style is extremely rare and unique.

Mark has an innate and inherent ability to see and capture the essence of an individual.
In his photos, he allows us to see the basic raw human elements: beauty, sorrow, growing old, innocence, laughter, tears…. all these represented on their faces and in their disposition.

His captures allow us to look beyond a subject's facial façade and deep into their souls. If you look carefully at the pixels, they are like words, describing the biography of the person. It is Mark’s ‘skin deep’ ability which allow us to gain a tiny glimpse into an individual’s life.

I am truly glad to have such a talented flickr buddy like you…
Kudos to you for sharing your gift!!"

"I am happy to have discovered Mark's work! He is a hunter for powerful moments in time, moments that stir emotions and spark imagination, capturing images that stand on their own to tell moving stories with words unwritten. He is the street photo specialist, and is well versed in turning the ordinary into outstanding artwork!

He's also an all around cool dude that will give you the encouraging boost we all need to stay creative. Thanks Mark!

"Mark is one of the great photographers I met on Flickr. I am such a lucky one to be able to admire his works, especially his streetshots.. So very captivating and intriguing. As you enjoying his photostream, I believe your eyes & mind will more notice about life of people around us. He captures their expression - the thing that sometimes we miss due to our busy-ness :)
Thank you, Mark. You've shown to your flickr friends precious things in this world besides ourselves - others life.

    Glad we flickr-met, Mark! (May'09)"

"Marks' work captures the emotion and feelings that people carry on their faces when they think they are unobserved in the world. Anyone can take a picture but it takes a great eye and a sensitivity to capture the emotion. Mark has this. Enjoy his work.. I do ... always"

"Mark is one of the people in Flickr that I could almost fav 100% of his work if I really wanna do it. I like every single one of his work. He is a warm and friendly person and he is very generous with his encouragements. He has an obvious strength in his photography and it is his street photography and portraits. He captures the pain and the emotions of his subjects too well and the photos always move me. I am very glad to have this guy in my flickr world and hope for a long, long time of friendship with him.

To Markie - Thanks for being a great friend.

"Where do I even start with what to say about Mark? He has not been a contact long....I found him through one of my BFF's (Lauren) and to say I'm happy that I did is an understatement. Mark is hella talented and in just the short time he's been a contact, I've seen his work excel tremendously.

Not only does he do it right technically, but he evokes emotion- which in my opinion, is what photography is all about. To feel.....to be in the moment.....to look at an image and have it stay with you long after you've left it- and that's what Mark's stream does for me.

I have to also add that Mark leaves some of the sweetest comments and is pretty nice on the eyes ladies!!! ;-)

Thank you Mark for sharing the world with us through your eyes. You are a huge asset to the Flickr community and I'm glad to be your friend. xoxo"

"Well I'll keep this testimonial like a bikini, I'll just cover the important parts. Mark is a preacher through his photography. He has a gift of truly seeing "people" in real life situations. He has the ability to capture a wide range of emotions in his photos. It's like he's been doing this forever, but he's only just begun. And he gets better every day as seen in his stream. One last thing, I have met him in person. He's a cool friend and brother, and the photographer pales in comparison to the person. He's a baller too!"

the fact that he takes time to look at all my work and make constructive comments means a great deal in my process of learning. I almost think he's online 24/7 as he comments so quick!

His work and street photographs are so well done, and his style of processing is something i wish to learn!

"Yo Mark. How's everything man? I like how you freeze emotions onto a pic. These simple emotions are what some people fail to catch in their daily life. We get so busy we miss these little things! But when i look at these pics, I see it as it is. Different emotions Frozen in time. A picture says a thousand words, but a "person's emotion" frozen in time can say a lot more!"
