Came from Holland to South Africa in 2004 just for a sabbatical. I fell i love with the country and fell in love with a woman. Since then i spend 75% of my time in South Africa.

I run a small guesthouse in the Tsitsikamma, together with my wife Geraldine. It's not enough for a days job or to make a living from it, yet. So, up till now, I'm filling my days with wood working, making nice things for the house. On the same time I'm still thinking of how to make a living in this country.

I take pictures with a slim (and easy to carry around) Konica Minolta KD500Z, which already past the 10.000 picture mark, in only 4 years, most of these I posted at Webshots, cause by then I hadn't heard of Flickr yet. Nowadays I also take pictures with my phone, I had to buy a new one because we needed internet for our b&b (we applied for a landline, but telkom says it will probably take a couple years).

My pictures are mostly snap shots ['mik en druk' in afrikaans] and some them are worthy enough to post onto the net.
