"To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the Palm of Your Hand
And Eternity in an Hour."
William Blake

Photography mesmerizes me, always have. For a flamboyant mind like mine it literally offers a more focused view of the world. In the same time it works like a peephole through time and space; both intriguing.

Generally I like the idea of making the picture ready and done when I shoot it and I'm not sure if I'll ever do any PS. Sometimes I paint or in other ways manipulate prints and then re-shoot it. Always prefer handheld and no flash.

My first attempts at digital photography has been a couple of years with my camphone; a Sony Ericsson K800i. So much effortless fun was just what I needed to get back on the picture track. Now I use a Canon Powershot G11 and I totally love it.

For film I still use my Pentax Lx and can never resist vintage cameras at flea markets...

PS: The picture of which I made my buddy icon was originally shot by the great swedish photographer Michael Engman. This is a simple re-shoot with camphone of a wonderful sepia print. Thanks Michael for making me look so good!

PPS: You'll find more of my pictures here at Flickr if you go to "Hanna & Christer 1/1/11" (wedding gift) and "Aurora Elensia" (christening present) link under "website".

PLEASE: If you want to use any of my pictures - let me know and I'm sure we can work something out :)
