I use a 2001 Olympus C4040Z compact camera. It's old, battered and was Olympus's first 4-megapixel camera. It's been rained on, dropped in mud, water, slush and snow, been nibbled by pigs, been kicked, and been dismantled twice for home repairs. And it's still taking a halfway decent photo. Yes, a DSLR would be lovely but I'd be paranoid about damaging it or losing it. And it would cost far too much. So the old C4040Z it is.
