My Sony A77 took a hard tumble off my tripod back in May and sadly will not be coming back RIP. I took the crash as a sign to go full frame. I was just not impressed with the Sony A99 for a number of reasons and I've been frustrated with Sony lens options all along . . . so I'm in the process of selling off all my Sony gear and starting over with Nikon. I hopefully will be back at it soon.

"I was suprised to read that Dan "shoots images just for fun." He is one of the very best I've found in that category. It's very challenging to go pro these days, but Dan could make it work if he wanted to.

He's also been a great flickr citizen. Despite his many views comments and prolificity, he makes time to comment on my images."

    Thompson Photography says:

"If there was such a thing as "Official photographer of the Minneapolis - St. Paul area", Dan would get my vote! His takes on familiar sites are breathtakingly fresh and vivid. But he's also a great explorer and finds many interesting hidden gems in the metro arera and brings them to us beautifully.

Another aspect of Dan is his interest in and appreciation for the work of others. He is a generous commenter; his stamp of approval is much appreciated! In all, Dan is the model of what a Flickrite should be: he shares his excellent work here and is completely unselfish in his relations with others. Thanks Dan!"

"I've been following Dan's photostream for quite a while now and i must say that he is one of the most inspiring photographers i met on flickr. He constantly pushes his own quality level with every image he posts and keeps surprising his viewers with unique and awesome compositions. Turning something great into something very special by making use of wild angles, unique perspectives and great post processing is definately one of his strenght. I really enjoy browsing through his photos and i'm sure he will suprise us with some mind-blowing stuff in the future! Keep up the good work!

    pink*tootoo~* says:

"Dan isn’t just an incredibly talented photographer – he is a creative visionary who tells stories through artful interpretation.

We live in the same area, but I am a lucky and enthusiastic tourist when I visit his stream. He breathes new life into every subject of inspiration, as though he was the first – and perhaps only – one to discover them.

He can make your mouth water for a diner hamburger, drive with renewed appreciation of the city skyline, laugh at bits of iconic Americana, or flashback to childhood cart-wheeling and jumping with sheer uninhibited joyful energy.

His diverse work is infused with vibrant and warm personality – sometimes thoughtful and introspective, sometimes ironic and witty – and always, as a guy who lives life with gusto and appreciation for his experiences and love for family. Icing on the cake, he’s also a really great contact!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Dan, you make me want to go where you go, and see what you see! But short of being a stalker, I’ll just travel through the Flickr portal instead. I have a feeling you have just begun, and it’s already been a great trip."
