Hello, I'm Mike from Stockport, which is near Manchester in North-West England.

I bought a Pentax K100d in March 2007 and joined Flickr soon after. It's been fun to get so much inspiration, ideas and advice from other members, So thanks!

In March 2011 I upgraded to a Pentax K-5.

I particularly enjoy taking my camera on my walks around my local area and into The Peak District. Occasionally I wander farther afield and I always take my camera so anything might crop up. I also enjoy taking nature macros. You may also see one or two photos of beer. Good beer. Really quite excellent beer.

Why Pentax? A few years back I inherited a Pentax ME Super film camera with a couple of lenses, so I've stayed with Pentax.



A few pics are taken with a Pentax Optio S50
Even fewer are taken with a HTC S620 or HTC Hero mobile phone.

Nearly are images are processed to some degree using Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. HDR shots use Dynamic Photo HDR. (No HDR these days) Some pics have been tweaked in Picnic.

If you want to use my images for ANY for-profit commercial use I will ask for a reasonable, nay, highly competitive fee. I'm cheaper than Getty anyway. My Flickr stream is not a source of free stock photography.
