Quiet Lake's photostream

Writer, canoeist, fisherman, photographer, currently working on a project where I visit 100 lakes on Vancouver Island and write about my experiences, rating each lake according to a few dozen criteria, including beauty and the quality of sabi.

I am open to suggestions from Flickr members, so please feel free and e-mail me recommendations for the best lakes to visit, or send me a link to some of your favourite photos of lakes on the island. I am most interested in small lakes, ponds, marshes and quiet streams where wildlife is abundant and the aesthetics are photo-worthy.

I was shooting with a Nikon D40X, which fell in the lake, so I replaced it with the D3000. I've used a polarizing filter since Fall 2009, and what a difference that has made! Advice and criticism on my photos is encouraged and appreciated.
