I've been taking photos since i was a kid and got my hands on the family brownie and 8mm cine camera. A trip to Moscow to compete in the World Student Games gave me a chance to get my first SLR a Russian Zenit with a 35mm lens. Years later I traded that for a nice little Miranda and then over time tried various Canon Sureshots and the like before the getting one of the early Ixius digital point and shoot, tried a Bronica Medium format but hated it and traded that for the first Canon DSLR a 300D with a couple of system telephotos.

But all the time what I really lusted after was a Leica. First indulgence was with a little D-Lux 4 which I still keep as a good all round pocketable point and shoot. However, it was an M series I really wanted and I managed to get a barely used M8 and bought a new Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 Nokton Classic to go with it .

Over time I've added a thumbsup, a used Canadian Leitz 50 mm f.2.00 Summicron, a used Leitz 21mm f2.8 Elmarit and viewfinder. I then traded the M8 for a Leica M9 and added a new Voigtlander 75mm f1.8 Heliar Classic. My later addition is lovely old Leitz 3.5 to 13.5 viewfinder.

To protect the camera I bought a Leicatime handmade leather half case with rear screen cover and strap from Luigi Crescenzi.

I love my Leica and take my kit with me most days and am always on the look out for an interesting moment or image to capture. It is such a pleasure to work with and see the results and continues to surprise me.

The aim is to keep trying to get better.

I'm interested in a wide range assignments from commercial to private. Always looking to develop my portfolio including some more 'alternative' stuff i've been working on the last few years with female models that way inclined - but I have not currently shown on Flickr ;)
