I am amazed at the quality of photographs on Flickr, some are good, some are amazing, and many are quite outstanding and i suppose seeing that we all have flickr accounts would suggest that we are all proud of our efforts in one way or another,
I am no exception and with every shot i take i hope on some level that i am improving my tequniques and ability.
We are all at different levels when it comes to ability, those just starting out are finding their way around shutter speeds and apertures and those more advanced photographers are experimenting with long exposures and strobe lighting, but we are all learning new tricks no matter how good we think we are and i think we must bear this in mind when it comes to judging other peoples work.
Nobody likes harsh critisism when it comes to our work, but by the same token we would all prefer a little more than "nice shot" so when it comes to commenting on other peoples work i think it's nice to take a little time and a few extra words to say what you like about it.
Also it is important to understand that we are not all professional photographers and comments should reflect that, but above all remember that photography is an art form, there is no right or wrong, photographs cannot be too dark or too light, they cannot be shot at the wrong angles, the end result is what you make it and other peoples opinions should all come down to whether or not they like it too.

The most important thing to remember when taking photographs is to enjoy what you are doing.
