Donna G. Dow says:
"Steve (Yo, Bubba!) has been one of the most helpful people in my quest to improve my photography skills. He has LOTS of patience where I'm concerned. For that, I'm grateful. I look up to Steve and ask his advice often. If I don't "get it", he'll stick with it until I do.
Steve's photography speaks for itself. He's one VERY talented individual. He sees things that many others miss, which is very refreshing. It's always good to see a different take on what could very easily be an ordinary situation. If it's there, he will find it.
Although we haven't met in person yet, I do consider Bubba a friend. I've known him from another chat board for many years now. He makes me laugh often. He's one of the good guys."17th July, 2006

Bonnie Bowne says:
"Bubba is simply one of the best. I got to "know" Bubba on the Yellowstone Loon page and at first only saw his portraits which were amazing, but when he visited Yellowstone and GTNP he posted some of the most remarkable, photos I've ever seen of this area. Bubba is a master of composition and light!"

Buck Forester says:
"Bubba is from the south and he talks funny but it doesn't affect his images. His photos are as good as they come. Whether he's controlling light in a studio, or using the natural light God provides on a landscape, Bubba knows how to use it in a masterfaul way to get fantastic images time and time again. He also knows Photoshop so well that you might think he was made out of Adobe®. He is a great resource for technical knowledge and a great inspiration for applying it in a magnificent way. And if you have a question, he's gracious to share his advice. But don't ask him to share his pizza. I've asked the NPS to ban him from Yosemite National Park, otherwise I will burn with envy at his results."

Geyser Gary says:
"I got to know Bubba through the Total Yellowstone Loon chat page. Almost from the beginning it was clear that the guy knew how to make some magic with a camera. And his love of the Tetons cannot be questioned. But when I think about Bubba's photos that I really love--and there are a few of them--I think it is the use of light that really stands out. Check out his autumn photos of the Tetons and see how the rich colors play in the soft light of morning or evening. See how he uses people in his photos to enhance the scene. Then notice how that same attention to light goes into his portrait photography.
As if all of this isn't enough, Bubba is generous about sharing his knowledge of photography and post processing. It's been great for a relative beginner like me to have a guy like Steve around. Take a look around his photostream. I bet he has something to teach you as well."3rd March, 2006

Hoot1 says:
" I've learned a lot from Bubba over the past few years. He's one of my main Photoshop gurus. As you browse his photos, you'll clearly see why I look to him for guidance. His compositional skills may be his strongest asset. He has a keen eye for finding the photo in a scene than most of us never even see."

Teewinot says:
"I've known Bubba (Steve) for a few years now, and he quickly become a very good friend and an inspiration. We've talked about quite a few things besides photography and I can always depend on him for good advice. The guy has got one heckuva talent for photography. He's an excellent portrait and nature photographer and definitely has a photographers eye for composition.
One look and you're hooked®
