About Me:
I'm a semi-pro photographer, based in the Hunter Valley, NSW Australia.

I'm mostly into macro, star trails, telephoto landscapes, outdoor portraiture, and chasing kangaroos around. I'm starting to dabble in birding since I got a 400mm prime.

I spent a few years as resident island photographer in the Whitsundays, doing portraits/weddings/candids. I've had some of my macro bug shots published by the Victoria Museum, presented a seminar on introductory photography to the NSW Floral Association, sold a few local stock landscape images from my website, and spent quite a few years in photographic retail and photo-labs.

While I often do a slight levels/saturation tweak in Photoshop, or clone-stamp a rampaging zit from a model's nose, I don't post-process my photos to hell and back. When an image looks more like a painting, then it's just not photography any more...

Please don't post any of those "Great capture!", or "Congratulations, your fine shot has earned you this stupid-flashing-animated-GIF-file-that-takes-up-half-the-page" messages on my photos. If a shot is worth commenting on, then actually write something yourself, rather than just copy/pasting a generic comment. That says to me that you're just using my work to fulfill your comment quota for some sad group that has to intimidate its members into participating.
