Capturing emotion and mood has been an obsession of mine and over the years I have found ways to express it through music, painting and filmmaking. But all of this only served to gently guide me towards my real passion in life: photography. The ability to bring the chaos of one moment to a screeching halt in a silent and contemplative image is simply irresistible. I consider photography to be a gift of the highest order.
In my work, I use layers of texture to create a new dimension of atmosphere and emotion and my biggest thrill is the moment my pictures take on a life of their own.
I love to be out before the sun peaks over the horizon. You will most likely find me chasing the light over the vastness of the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington, one my favorite shooting spots.
