If you are one of the people that have received a personal postcard from this man, count yourself one of the lucky ones. They are awesome. I mean, really awesome. Full of little tidbits of what he's up to, it's like getting a letter from a family member. PLUS, it has his kick ass work on the other side! You can't ask for anything better than that.
NOT ONLY does he send out perfect postcards, but he makes one mean care package. Plastic parachute men, prints from his own wall, words of wisdom, great mix cds. Damn. If that's not a true care package, i don't know what is.
Now, enough about how great of a person Steven is, let's talk about his work. He rocks that homemade, sweet as hell 6x9 pinhole like it's an extension of his eyeballs. A surreal world that actually...makes me want to return to the plains of Kansas. That, my friends, is saying a lot. His stories compliment the imagery and vice versa. Really, a perfect package. (that's what she said)
