"Steven, each and every one of your photos amaze me. With every photo you tell a story or express an emotion, which can be hard to do in photography. Not sure what else I can say other than keep up the beautiful work!"

"So I met Steven today and shot with him, so it's an appropriate time for a testimonial! What a nice dude, haha. Not one of those awkward kids you meet off the internet :P This kid is absolutely amazing at what he does. From being around him while he's shooting, you can see he has a huge passion for photography and meeting new people.
One of the most inspiring photographers I've had the privilege to meet and talk to.
Keep it up man! Much respect.

"i've been meaning to write you one of these for a while,
but what I love so much about your photos is that I can be searching through my contact's new uploads, and know immediately what photographs you have taken without seeing your name underneath of it. not only do you create work that is mysteriously beautiful, but you create work that is uniquely your own."13th January, 2011

Katherine_Thomas says:
"I really don't know where to begin.
I guess I'll start with what I like most.
What I like most about your steam is that you aren't one of those photographers that always shoots in auto.
You actually know photography.
You really know it.
I admire that, a lot.
The tones in your photos are always incredible.
Even though you probably haven't seen me around your stream much, I check it a lot.
You come of with the most creative and different ideas.
A lot of photographers, I'll think their idea is creative then I see it somewhere else.
But you really have an eye for originality.
You have taken literally some of the best self-portraits that I have ever seen.
You use light amazingly.
You're one of those people that makes me want to be better.
You're inspiring and I hope you continue to pursue photography.
I'm pretty sure you could change the world of art with it.
Like Annie Leibovitz and other great photographers.
The types that have books and books completly dedicated to them and their photography.
I see you as being one of them."29th December, 2010

Tessa Yoder says:
"Steven...what can I say about Steven?
I can't really say anything besides the obvious:
Everything about his photography is AMAZING.
Keep up the awesome work!
^it's been 4 months since I wrote you this testimonial so I thought I would edit it a little bit because quite honestly, I could've one so much better than this. so I'll start here.
Steven, you are truly just a one of a kind photographer. Every photo you post is amazing and you have great ideas and you do them so well. A lot on flickr, I see the same kind of stuff. I mean, photos at golden hour are great, don't get me wrong, but its so overused. What I love about your photos is that they are so different from anything that I see on here. Where else am I going to find pictures with gas masks and bubble guns? :)
anyways, what I am trying to get at is that you have such a unique style. Even though you're not on flickr as much as you used to be, I still look forward to when you do post. Keep up the amazing work, Steven, you're awesome."15th July, 2010

katie.linggg says:
"oh man... i don't know what to say. i've wanted to write this kid a testimonial ever since i got a flickr. but i never knew how. but then when i learned how, i never felt ready to do it, because i felt that the testimonial would be lacking everything yet to come. i wanted to be sure to include my thoughts about as much as i could. so then i decided to wait until he finished his 365. but considering he's leaving flickr before it is complete, here it is:
(okay, that entire paragraph was worded so illiterately. wow, is illiterately even a word? forget it. i'm not trying to make sense anymore.)
steven sites. steven. freakin. sites. you have no idea how much he has helped me, all the way from the beginning. whether it was teaching me how to use my camera, showing me different editing techniques, and just in general, making me love photography. soon after i started getting serious about taking pictures, i met steven, and my views on everything changed. he's the first person i ever personally met who was serious about this stuff. i had no idea someone could be this passionate about taking pictures.. it had always sorta been a 'fun' thing for me... and nothing else. but he inspired me to do more than that. a week after i met him, i ended up starting a 365. coincidence? i think not. hahahaa. i'm gonna say something that only he will find funny, but "he's so helpful, and always willing to help!!" haha, but seriously, it's so true.
okay, now about his pictures. no matter what he has coming, i always get excited. he could tell me that he's about to post a picture of a rock, and i would probably be ecstatic. (okay, maybe not ECSTATIC, but you get the point)...if you look through his stream, i'm sure you see a ton of creepy/ scary pictures.. but the thing is, he has such versatility. just because he's a creep and likes to scare people, (just kididng) doesn't mean that he can't take a pretty, happy, not-scary photo and have it look stellar. he holds himself to such a high standard, and it pays off.
the funny thing is, steven as a person, is NOT scary at all. if you've watched his videos, you'd understand. he's a goofy guy. and we all love him for it. looking at his photos, you'd think he was mentally insane. i promise you, he's not. he's probably more sane than a lot of people you know. all i can say, is steven has helped me in so many ways, with my photography and in general, and i have no idea what my pictures would look like without having ever met him. all i know is that i would suck a lot more than i do now. hahaha.
i know that none of that made sense and the way i worded everything sucked. i'm tired. going to take a nap now.
happy picture taking, stevenasdfghjkl;"13th April, 2010

"Steven is such an amazing photographer!
he has the most genius idea's
and the best execution!
his photos always have a dark edge to them,
wich i love and admire.
you just get sucked in to them,
like you're there.
like you can see the vision that he had for the picture.
that's one of his best qualities; the way he shows you his vision,
his thoughts ..
He's just amazing."20th March, 2010

Joanna Purich says:
"Steven Sites's photos bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses.
His photos transcend flickr friends, and unite the masses in his awe inspiring unification of good and evil. Although mild passerby's might find beauty in a single photo of Steven's, a commitment to his work will reveal a far greater impressiveness and appeal. While lurking his photostream not only will you find breath taking photos that will blur your sense of reality and make you question the extent of his photoshopping abilities, but also, you will find portraits that alike Medusa, upon first glance, will turn your body to stone and make it impossible to look away.
Currently he is focusing on broadening his portfolio and discovering his vast potential in the mass market of photography, but a journey back into the realm of his photostream will acquaint you with horrors and wonders possible only to the dark imagination and creativity of Steven Sites. His ability to bring the feeling of foreboding, eeriness, and haunting enchantment out of the mundane and abandoned in a picture is unmatched by any on flickr.
Goggling at Steven's stomach lurching photos will beg you to question his sanity and even his appearance. Cute Indie kid or possible bipolar serial killer?
I'm telling you: this stream is important, maybe even life changing.
STAY TUNED."19th March, 2010

"There are no words to describe your work.

Twig Capra says:
"
While others may have found Steven through his urban exploration, I discovered him through his portraits. There is a disturbing honesty to Steven's self-portraits. While he occasionally chooses the approach of smoke and mirrors (or fake blood), there is no sense of falsehood. His intense and sometimes haunting renderings are very much like glimpses of dreams: a bloody hand here, a strange reality there. They carry with me throughout my day, and even when my flickr window is closed, and my computer is turned off, I can recall his images to mind because his work is truly unforgettable."4th March, 2010

His photos are amazing and definately an inspiration to all. =D
I have to say, my favorite are the darker creepier ones; he definately has a talent and skill in capturing some good emotions for shots like that. (:

"I've been procrastinating this testimonial for sometime now, because I know as soon as I write it, I'm gonna remember something important. But I can't put this off any longer, and although I don't think Steven is short on testimonials from others, I'm going to write one out of respect.
Steven is one of the first real photographer who started visiting my stream, and his feedback is so encouraging and motivating. You have to make sure you put your upload on private or Steven will comment before you even realized it was possible.
What I love about this stream is that he knows how to push the envelope. He isn't afraid of going out on a limb with some of his series, then he'll feel like he needs to upload something ridiculous about himself. It's wonderful variety and so exciting to see whenever he starts a series. He's all over flickr and always wanting to meet new people. Steven reveals so many different emotions in his photos. I'm so intrigued by this stream. Oh, and he can sing too."2nd February, 2010

"Steven, you're so incredibly creative, and everytime I see your picture in the 'Latest Uploads' place, it makes me happy. (: I enjoy picking your pictures apart to see the emotion that makes each and every one of your captures unique. I wish more people were able to see your work, because I truly do believe you deserve more credit than you recieve on this 'itsy-bitsy' universe of flickr. (;
I know when you post your, 'oh, this only took me three seconds to take. this isn't much.' pictures, people may not appreciate them. But, rahhhlly, they're still awesome. It's not fair. :P
imma stop rambling now.

"Steven is one of my favorite people on Flickr. I look forward everyday to see his work. His photography is amazing! and how he puts so much of Himself in each one! His concepts, creativity and originality of each photo is breath taking and leaves me speechless. There is never enough words to describe the complete awe I get from each photograph. All I can say is they are amazing, yet they are much more than that.
Not only is he amazing at taking a photography, he shows and lets people get to know him through his photos. And that is what makes him stand out from the rest. You aren't just look at an incredible photo you are getting to know him, looking at him. And thats the best. I love that every photo I get to know him that much more. And so far he is just an incredible person all together.
Everyone should take a look at his photos, and be more than impressed by them! They are more than amazing.

"As someone who focuses mainly on landscape photography, I follow very few 365 or portrait-heavy streams on flickr. Steven is one of the few that I follow, primarily because of his incredible creativity, talent, and genuineness. He always surprises his viewers with new "props" and concepts, and he has the ability to take an everyday object like his hands or a TV set, infuse it with his creativity, and transform it into something so unique and full of emotion (and not to mention with excellent execution!).
I first came across his stream through Explore, and boy am I glad that particular shot (http://www.flickr.com/photos/steven_sites/4141433453/) caught my eye that day. Oh, and his comments are always so sweet, truly encouraging and motivating!"20th January, 2010

"Besides very quickly becoming my total bestie and being practically the single coolest person on the face of the planet, Steven has real talent. His photography is strong and his graphic work is top-notch.
Having known him for only a week, he is literally already one of my biggest inspirations, encouraging me to try new things (he doesn't know that though,) do the extra work for a piece, and be a better and more respectable person.
