I don’t really like to be pigeon holed as a photographer because I am interested in so many different subjects and styles. I think it is important that we photographers remain attuned to a childlike curiosity for the world around us, where things that are inclined to be overlooked, forgotten or ignored by others remain a source of fascination and deep study. I used to think that I was an existentialist in terms of my general outlook, and I probably was in my teens and twenties but my ‘way of seeing’ through photography is really much more metaphysical.
