My name is Stephen Poff and I'm a flickrholic.

I joined the community after hurricane Katrina so that I could share my experience with distant friends and relatives.

Shortly afterwards I began a little project... a new year's resolution... to take a self portrait a day for a year. I began posting my photos to flickr along with a short diary entry about what happened that day. Before the year was over, you were doing it with me.

Now in 2008 we have over 7,500 people doing the project and learning... as I learned... that the project has a profound effect on your outlook on life.

I decided that this year's resolution would be to become more vocal in the group. To take what I've learned over the years and pass it on. I now host a weekly podcast with co-host Chris Maverick. You're welcome to join us... the more the merrier.

"A very innovative and intriquing photographer I just love his ideas...the daily photo, his amazing and highly unusual self portraits especially the super hero ones they are whimsical and show his understanding of the complicated dual nature of photographer who is also inner subject.
His black n white work is also very inspiring...
