I love bicycle-touring and mountain-biking, kayak-touring and walking. I especially love camping. I write a book called the Adventure Cycle-touring Handbook, currently in its second edition.

I'm not a great photographer but I take pleasure in my trips and adventures in the outdoors and think that photo galleries with a few comments are more fun than blogs - click the 'show info' button when viewing by slideshow. My sets would be a bit more useful if I could be bothered to add tags to everything, I shall get around to that.

Some people have made me a Contact. Sorry, I don't really understand that but I'm flattered that anyone would do it. Should I reciprocate? I haven't because I don't really understand what's involved. I have joined a few groups so I could put my photos in their collections. I'm not into social networking, except the accidental kind, when you meet someone and get chatting. I think I spend too much time on the web, so I try not to get tied up in more web-type commitments.
