I was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan and moved to the Jackson area when I was 15 years old, where I still reside. I have three beautiful daughters, who I love very much, grown and on their own.

I remember when I was 14 years old looking at a Japanese pen and ink drawing of a fox tail weed with snow on it and a distant mountain shrouded in fog. Something about that picture intrigued me and I became interested in art.

I've never taken formal art or photography classes, mostly self taught through trial and error. Friends and relatives encouraged me to pursue photography.

I made my own pictures in a 'wet' darkroom for a long time. Developed my film and printed the pictures.
Then in February of 2008 I transitioned to all digital. Sold some of my film related photography items on a large internet auction site and began to purchase digital equipment.

I joined Flickr on July 27, 2008 and I'm very impressed with the quality of work I see. In fact, I would really enjoy sitting and talking to some of my contacts in person. Very cool people.

I now work as a Certified Massage Therapist.
