Scots born, travelled, now settled in southern Andalucia.
I'm a professional field guide specialising in European Birds and other wildlife. I have been birding since I was a kid in Scotland with my brothers and a group of school-friends.
Since 2001, Patty, my wife and I have been running Andalucian Guides, based on The Strait of Gibraltar near the port of Barbate in Cadiz province, Andalucia SW Spain. This is one of the busiest bird migration routes on Earth and that's why we are here! Such a lovely place to live!
I am also a Principal tour leader for Limosa Holidays and also guide tours for The Travelling Naturalist - both companies are based in the UK.
