I'm a perceptive person.

But perception is a questionable process. It starts with seeing something, reacting to it, playing with it. I may end up taking a picture. Objects I have arranged. Things I have seen. Things as they can be seen.

What is this picture then? A souvenir, a reminder of a perceptive moment, a representation, an arrangement, a token of communication, a work of art? I love the complexity of this process and the fact that you don't read any of it like I do.

For me some my pictures become just the starting point of something else, a further reaching process of rearrangement and graphic alterations. Maybe you have a look at www.artphoto-berlin.de.

But this is flickr, the site of zillions of bits and bites flickering. It may just be a nice place for some of the pics I find stored in my camera when I come back from my travels. Mabe they become the starting point of yet another communicative process.
