Stewart Townsend has spent the last ten years working at Sun Microsystems, as a technical engineer then moving back into his passionate area of business development/sales, where he ran a business unit focused on supporting startups in Europe and grew this from zero to a multi million dollar business in 12 months, using social media strategies to drive the conversation. By working with high growth companies, he understands the restraints but needs of small companies, and engages in advice around brand strategy, marketing, channel growth and high impact marketing campaigns.

In his spare time he likes to race cars, badly, but loves the rush, shop for wild vibrant shirts that have earned him the name in Europe of 'The man in the shirt' and on occassions go for walks up Pendle hill and soak up the glorious views.


General interests outside of corporate life, Stewart helps to run an Alternative Education provider as a social entrepreneur aimed at supporting excluded young people (14-21 year olds) gain an education outside of mainstream school.
