I like optics, both cameras and telescopes. I have been an amateur astronomer since I was 13 and a photographer since I was 7 or 8 years old. I have a college degree and was drafted into the army during the Vietnam war although I did not serve in Vietnam. I like computers and bought my first one in 1981. I was on the internet before the WWW was invented and one of the first to explore the Web when it first came up. My wife is a belly dancer and some years ago, husbands of the dancers formed a band to provide live music for performances. We have recorded three CDs and sold them as far away as Egypt, Germany, China and Australia as well as many states in the US.
In 2005 I bought a digital camera and found myself free of the cost of film and processing. I could take any pics I wanted to without 'wasting' film and that freed my imagination. That and the groups at Yafro helped focus me on one subject after another and allowed me to express myself with new techniques and imagination.
