below the first round of photos are lots of helpful hints for navigating Flickr, Firefox, Greasemonkey... that sort of thing that can save time if you do lots of group stuff on here.
I am also a Cloud Addict, and have a great affinity for Altocumulus lenticularis clouds, lenticular stacks. We are blessed with many of these here in the Cascade Mountain Range. I live between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood and feel pretty blessed to live here! Two of my photos were chosen for the 2011 Weather Guide Calendar by Accord Publishing ; and a third image was in the 2012 Weather Guide Calendar. You can find it at Barnes and Noble and at Amazon.com here www.amazon.com/Weather-Guide-Calendar-Phenomenal-Events/d...
And here are the three calendar shots

this Mount Hood shot was also printed in January 2012 edition of CROSS COUNTRY MAGAZINE in an article on Mountain Wave Clouds, along with this next image

The next image of Altocumulus lenticularis stacks near Mount Adams was published in a book called "Weather of the Pacific Northwest" by Cliff Mass, an Atmospheric scientist at the University of Washington

Here is a link on cloud types en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud
Also, this next image was on the cover of the Infinity Loop travel guide in northern Oregon

so take my hand and come enjoy..
Many of my photos are centered around the Mt. Adams area of southern Washington, and many informational links regarding the area can be found on this photo

HELPFUL NAVIGATIONAL TIPS, FIREFOX, GREASEMONKEY ETC.
Iam including some information and links I had accumulated over the last 2 years about navigating flickr and Explore... myself, I am not at all attached to being on Explore, although it is fun to look sometimes and see a page like this. I used to get into all the award groups big time... and did find some great friends that way... but now I prefer as I have said to share fun comments with other flickr friends.
However, I have had a couple questions from others who were curious, so here is some basic info and links to help navigate more quickly among the thousands of groups and posting awards and such.
1. GreaseMonkey... really makes life easier if you are on Flickr a lot, posting awards, sending flickrmail right from the users buddy icon... I use it a LOT. It works with Firefox as a browser. Firefox is a browser system I like much better than Internet Explorer. It is a tab system so I can open large numbers of flickr tabs easily and go back and forth between them easily. You can set FireFOx up to use easily, and it does not eliminate IE so if for any reason you still want to use that one you can.
FireFox can be found here:
www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/landing/better/?utm_content...
for Greasemonkey, go here to install:
addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
Once you have Greasemonkey installed, you need to add scripts. There are many available... here is a link for a few basics:
6v8.gamboni.org/-Greasemonkey-.html
I really like that buddy icon script that lets you use the icons or names in your comments...here is the link to the man who made the script, and his link for this greasemonkey script.
www.flickr.com/photos/doc18/4783351201/
another fave is the easy photo post found here
6v8.gamboni.org/Flickr-Easy-Photo-Post.html
Here is the Comenta page that gives you a little box above your comment box that allows you to easily post awards without typing:
serprest.pt/cocoon/ws/comenta/wellcome
Flickrfox is a handy little tool that puts your contacts (or just friends) newest photos up as they are posted in a strip down the left side of your browser page. This is the trick some of us use so we are able to post a comment on your photo before you are even done typing the title!
philmccluskey.com/projects/flickrfox/
Oh there are lots more tips, as time goes on we can share!
a very handy little script that everyone should use leaves a little line on your comments letting the user know where you saw their photo

I Love capturing the images I see all around me daily... little bits of life, reflections of the universe and creation, reflections of the Creator's love... gifts from the Mother, divine and earthly....
so Life goes on, and the learning continues, and Flickr has only broadened my understanding that we are all human here on this earth, across all borders we love, we hurt... we share and get angry... children are born and grow up, and we see beauty with the same eyes.
Thanks to all of you!
Enjoy my humble photos of life and the land as I see it, and please understand if I do not always contact you back, I seem to have more contacts now than I would ever have time for in a year, and so I have to cut back in order to live life also!
My photos are all copyrighted, I am willing to share in many cases if I am asked... and I am also willing to sell the use of my photos, just contact me. Do not use any without asking first... it also gives me the satisfaction and delight knowing they are being used.

"Darlisa not only is a great photographer, she can make you feel very emotional when she writes too. She's great, the strong she has to keep being in this life, really love that, and her memories, how you describe that. Really love how you detail it, I met you here, in Flickr a weeks ago, commenting shots, and I thought I was here only for comments and comments and faves, but I see I can find beautiful people here, not speaking about fisical beautiful only, too soul beautiful people, like she :). Love to have a friend like her here in flickr! Hope she continue here, I think she will. Just a great person she is, and a great photographer too!"

"Starisa/Darisa sees and creates. She sees with special eyes and creates with a glowing enthusiasm for whatever she happens to be doing and for whomever she happens to be with. Now that I know her in person, it's not surprising that she receives so many positive comments on her work. She exudes a positive attitude that comes back to her in many ways.
It was a bold stroke to plan a campout with her Flickr friends only a few days before she plans to move halfway across the state. She will have some challenges in her new location in or near Port Townsend, but no doubt she'll rise to meet them all with grace.
O yes - her photos; immerse yourself in them. They will captivate you and take you to many places that you never imagined existed."23rd August, 2009

"You know what they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words"; unfortunately there's no single picture in the world that I've seen that can do Darlisa justice, which I guess is going to make keeping this short a touch tricky ;)
If there were a picture to describe her there would have to be stars and galaxies involved, to give us the wide view and show the scale of her vision, but that would only a small fragment of it. Clouds are what first drew me into her photostream, so obviously there must be clouds too.
We need smaller things too, like flowers, for in addition to seeing the beauty of the wider picture she's capable of seeing and sharing the beauty in the intricate details of the world too.
Fire, for sure, her wildfire coverage is amazing. We need some Earth in there too. I guess in some ways Darlisa is all around us. Ooops, it looks like I've made her out to be a god; I can't guarantee that (nor can I deny it), all I know for certain is that she's a great photographer and a wonderful friend!"12th August, 2008

"Darlisa is an energetic and dedicated witness to the beauty of our planet. She captures beauty, magesty and wonder of our world in many ways with a very sensitive eye, and always manages to evoke a "wow" from me. Spend some time exploring her stream, and Darlisa will wow you as well.
Thanks for being a great flickr friend!"21st July, 2008

"Well, if I started to describe Darlisa's talent, I probably wouldn't be able to stop. Anyway, none of my words would be sufficient enough to say how gifted she is.....just take a look at her photostream for yourself to see what I mean.
All I will say is that behind the talent lies a wonderfully caring and emotive person who always finds time to compliment others. She encourages and inspires me with every single word.....and can guarantee she will do the same for you.
Flickr wouldn't be the same without you Darlisa......keep it up girl!!!!!!!"22nd June, 2008

"Ridiculously talented...generous in nature...she can make art using a Kodak Instamatic....inspiring, soulful and a talented writer as well. But most of all I appreciate her honesty....it shines through her words and images and there is grit to be admired. Life can be challenging but she captures the simple joys that make it worth living. I love to see what she's up to and I silently cheer her on because this gal has great chi - karma, you name it. And she's proof that its not the gear you have but the eye and heart that makes good photography. she's all soul and old soul all wrapped up together."

"I wish I had Darlisa's way with words - it would make describing her wonderful images so much easier!
We use very similar P&S cameras and I've been amazed at how creative Darlisa is with hers. Through her photography she's introduced me to her incredible local scenery, plants and wildlife and made me yearn to experience her part of the world for myself.
Her photostream is one I visit as often as I can because I know I'll always find an image to enjoy.
Thanks Darlisa :-)"16th February, 2008

"Views - A Testimonial
Starlisa (Darlisa),
Saw fishing in green, and your hundreds of other photographs on darckr and redbubble. I am struck speechless, by the perfection of almost each photograph! The dedication and meticulous technical precision, is beyond words. I don't think, that I have come across a photographer of your calibre, with such an "immensity of soulful dedication," any time, during my many journeys across the world! Peace and Light to you, and to your lovely and scintillating family always! I keep recalling the exemplary, "spiritual grooming," your sweet, sacred parents, have given you (and your family), with so much love and care (as recorded in the photograph, family love). I am confident, that you are carrying the brilliant torch of royal legacy forward, as effectively & meritoriously, in grooming the younger generation in your family, as your own parents would have liked you to...

"Sometimes you just find special people in the world, and this girl is one. Not only does she transcend the limitations of her camera and shoot what professional photographers might dream of, but she also takes the time to share her thoughts and comments with others. She's so genuinely sweet, and has such a terrific photographical eye. I always look forward to what she shares next!"

"God has blessed me in so many ways I can't explain in many areas of my life. I have met so many lovely people here that have touched me in my heart....Darlisa has done just that.
Oh how look forward to her comments. When I see her sweet icon I get so thrilled for I know she is going to leave me the most charming and uplifting words! Her quick wit, her gorgeous gorgeous shots of the Northwest, her love of nature has inspired me and influenced me like you wouldn't believe!
I've found myself weeping, overcome with joy, and totally in awe of her photographs. She just doesn't go out and start clicking hoping for something good. No. She makes the pictures with her heart. You will be overjoyed with the beauty that abounds in her area and the areas she travels. Looking, seeking and finding that perfect spot on earth to thrill us with...and oh my gosh her clouds. Those clouds are phenomenal...LOL...She is phenomenal in every sense. A woman with a heart as big as Washington and as pure as 24kt Gold! I love her and you will too once you get to know this lovely soul I call one of my best friends in this community of Flickr...visit her and you'll see everything I say is spot on...as we say here in Texas, she is praychous! (precious) I mean it Darlisa...you are!"29th December, 2007

Bachspics says:
"Darlisa’s photostream is a wonderful collection of about 2,500 shots mostly of her world in Washington state. She is obviously a nature lover so you will find everything from macros of water drops, plants, and such to the gorgeous landscapes of mountains, lakes, vales, and farms in her part of the world. Her “Lenticular Slideshow” is a classic set of unusual cloud formations that was even featured in publication on the subject. She is so dedicated that she takes three hour walks around her town after work just looking for new and interesting things to shoot. She is a keen observer of local life as well as nature. She loves her kin too, as you will see here. Enjoy the “Star” photographer of Washington."
