Born in Oakland, raised in San Francisco....Ive lived in Europe and all over Northern California and a few other places ...I love the beauty that surrounds us, everywhere.

Photography is so subjective...I love to see others' perspectives on the same thing....and it's not just the focal point of a photograph that makes it beautiful, it's how the photo is composed. Someone can take a picture of a beautiful scene, and you can say, "Wow, what a beautiful scene!"..but it's quite another scenario to say, "WOW! I FEEL this beautiful photograph!"

I think this is why I'm so passionately attracted to black and white images - so much emotive impact can be conveyed through this medium. I love inky goodness ;) especially in a wonderful landscape.

Im also very attracted to vintage images - anything up to the '70s I absolutely *love* and try and emulate in my own personal style.

Assorted lights, speedlights (SB800, SB22, and a few oldy but goodie flashes), filters (Lee hard grads, various others), tripods, reflectors, and other fun stuff! :-) Also a HUGE fan of DIY stuff, especially strobist stuff.

Plus some outdoor lighting and a power pack that allows me to shoot anywhere and everywhere....and if that goes out, I can use my car battery. I am NEVER without power, lighting, or a camera ~ Gotta love modern technology! :)
