SonOfJordan - View my ':: Explore ::' set on Flickriver

..Someday - and that day may never come - I'll call upon someone to do a service for me - & write something interesting to put in here instead! - But until that day, accept this photo-stream..as a gift!! ...(you can tell I've watched "The Godfather" too many times!!)

I believe every "photo opportunity" is unique and I simply try to present what I "see" in my mind's eye, at that particular moment in time. To quote one great Photographer:

"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." - Elliott Erwitt

"I know you and your pictures a quiet long time now... incredible, isn't it? And I remember your very first pictures I saw here: I think it was "rhythm & blue"

Since that time you developed your abilities and your style in "seven-league boots"... I mean, the way you manage the lightning is adorable and the way you find the right PoV is stunning.

But looking on your stream today my fave is the "bokeh surfin" inside your compositions - it may look "simple and easy", but folks: Try to create a similar shot and you will see how difficult it could be.

So, my wishes for you are that you and your family may stay healthy & happy all the time and you may carry on with your great work - it is wonderful to have you as one of my friends here.

    as-salāmu ʿalaikum :-)"

"The photographs you find in SonOfJordan's photostream are like the ones you find in prestige galleries.... they are always more than what they seem to be at first glance.

He has a unique artistic style of capturing things...there is some kind of familiarity in his work that leaves you feeling nostalgic every now and then."

"Shadi Samawi is what we all aspire to be: a person who can translate his vision of the world accurately into stunning images. His range and technical expertise are inspiring, and his choice of subject matter is at once vast and profound.

Mr. Samawi is, moreover, a kind gentleman who freely shares of his time and talent with others. I am deeply indebted to him for the use of one of his beautiful images. He's a great guy, and I can't wait to meet him in person."

    Ann Marie Simard says:

""Shadi is an extremely gifted artistic photographer, with a keen eye and sense of composition under any circumstances, day or night, blur or clarity. Everything here is done with extreme sensitivity. From lights to darks, from abstracted to cinematographic, each and every of his photos is a success and a delight. Friendly and insightful, he is also an excellent and understanding commentator. His stream is full of original creativity, both in black and white and in color. Never going for the clichéd shot, he lets photos take him, wherever he happens to be, and whatever the subject - from architecture to nature to portraits, he masters all subjects with the humility of a true professional. I strongly recommend visiting this stream for anyone interested in high-quality artistic photography done with the insight of a visionary and the technique of a professional. Kind thanks for sharing your talent. Every visit here is a delight."

"I was truly shocked that you profile is not full of brilliant testimonials because I never seen such cheerful and playful photostream.
Refreshing palette of colors, amazing macro shots, emotional portraits and detailed landscapes makes your photostream shine:)
With biggest respect I wish you good luck."
