  "sqbbe (Erik) is a generous pioneer. Pioneers are people who go places or do things for the first time ever. As soon as the Nikon D300 came out, he was pushing it to see what it's limits were. He was one of the first to use the bracketing feature to create HDR photos with the D300. He then created the first HDR group for the D300. "Nikon D300 HDR" .Through this group he provided a venue and a forum for people with this new camera interested in the young field of HDR photography. His own photos posted to the group were fine examples of what great HDR should be. His work has been featured in explore numerous times. His HDR sunrises, sunsets and coastal views are some of the finest you'll find anywhere. He is a generous person. Many of his photos but more so, his time lapse video clips are time consuming labors of passion. He is not driven by trying to gain glory on flickr or explore. He loves to capture the beauty he sees in the world around him and share it with the world. I had never exchanged mail with Erik until one day I got a flickr mail from him that basically said I like your work. I made you the moderator of the group. He lives in Denmark and I'm in Texas. He viewed my work from halfway around the world, made a character judgment based on it, and made me part of what he created. He then made me an administrator. I didn't know this man but he handed me this honor. A testimonial to his selflessness. Erik recently made #1 on explore with one of his time lapse clips. You watch, a few years from now, they will be commonplace on flickr. It was sqbbe who was one of the first to make HDR's with the D300, created of the first D300 HDR group and the pioneer of using the D300 for time lapse photography. More importantly, he is the first I know of to combine time lapse with HDR and create true HDR time lapse Videos. And true to his generous character, he even posts how he creates them including the software for others to follow in his footsteps. Take the time now to go back and look at his first time lapse videos. For years from now, you will be able to say; " I remember looking at sqbbe's art when it was in it's infancy and watched it grow". I only hope that in those years to come;,the world realizes Erik's contribution to the art world and how he pioneered this photographic technique to share with the world."
