When it comes to photography, I would definitely be considered an amateur. I began photography about a month before my wedding and have loved it ever since. Thanks to books like Understanding Exposure and my best friend, Ryan, I have learned a great deal about various techniques.

Typically I prefer landscapes and other scenic types of pictures, primarily because of a lack of things like lighting equipment. Recently, I purchased a set of Kenko extension tubes for macro shots. Thus far, my extension tubes are my favorite tools in my bag!
