Hi all you photo buffs,
My nickname is Sparky on Flickr,
I'm male and born in Seattle, moved to BC Canada at the age of 22, built two homes in a remote west coast area there, raised 5 kids, worked as fisherman and whale tour guide, moved to the Island of Hawaii in 1998.
I have been taking photographs since I was a child; started out using a simple box camera my Great aunt gave me ( here is my very 1st photo taken when I was 7 years old). I worked up to a Pentax Spotmatic in high school, which I really liked and then on to various other 35mm SLR’s after that.
Today I use a Canon EOS D1 Mark IV digital SLR. I primarily take pictures to honor and celebrate the natural beauty and wonders of this planet, including the creatures we share her with, though these years I seem to have become rather addicted to molten lava!
I enjoy sharing my images and seeing what my Flickr friends have been pointing their lenses at. I am also now creating movies, my most recent is of Hawaii molten lava and the movie trailer is linked below.
