This flickr page is dedicated to Sparky
Sparky and Nelson meet in California in 1994 and have also lived in Tucson, Chicago, and New York. Nelson is an artist living in Brooklyn. Sparky was his best friend, muse, longtime companion and partner in crime. Together they created The Sparky Project - an art collaboration between Nelson, Sparky and over one hundred artists.
The Sparky Project started in 2004 and artists from all over the world created portraits of Sparky. In return they became official members of the exclusive Sparky Fan Club. The artwork from The Sparky Project was exhibited in NYC in 2008 and 2009.
Sparky passed away on August 23, 2009. (He was approximately 17 years old, though he never revealed his true age). Nelson will be forever grateful for the 15 wonderful years of love and companionship he shared with him.
Sparky will always be in my heart and by my side...
